ICF Fox Blocks...

Industrial Strength Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF)

Fox Blocks ICF buildings are energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly, sustainable, quiet and comfortable. Our goal is to give you a building envelope that gives superior results when compared to conventional building methods. An envelope that resists harmful mold, dust and allergens, along with powerful wind, storm and fire damage.

Block or Poured Foundations

A foundation (or, more commonly, foundations) is the element of an architectural structure which connects it to the ground, and transfers loads from the structure to the ground. D.A. Curry can construct block or poured foundations. (or ICF - see above)

Perimeter Walls

Most houses have a raised perimeter foundation that supports floors and load-bearing walls. D.A. Curry can build all forms of Perimeter Walls for your construction requirements.

Footings

Footings are an important part of foundation construction. They are typically made of concrete with rebar reinforcement that has been poured into an excavated trench. The purpose of footings is to support the foundation and prevent settling.

Site Planning

D.A. Curry Masonry is the fist company you will want to speak with when considering building a new home or cottage. Since they are the ones building the foundation,  they also help with site planning which will save time in the design process.

Water Leakage

Got water coming into your basement in the spring? Give Dean a call as he can also fix the problems with water leakage. "We do quite a bit of re-waterproofing foundations. We can apply treatments to prevent water leaks. Sometimes the reaons this happens is due to poor drainage which we know how to address, and when building new, we know how to avoid."

Slabs / Pads

Slabs are either designed to be monolithic (turned down) or poured within a typical (concrete or masonry) foundation. D.A. Curry are slab construction experts.

Engineered Slabs / Pads

Another form of monolithic slab is the post-tensioned or "engineered" slab. This slab has steel cables running through it in both directions. Once the slab has cured, the cables are stretched and secured at each end so that a force is placed on the slab. This makes the slab tougher and more crack resistant.
